KUNO Biennial

KUNO Biennial is a travelling exhibition and meeting point for art students from KUNO member academies in the Nordic and Baltic countries. The Biennial developed through a series of student-led exhibitions and conversations across the KUNO network. It grew out of the pilot exhibition KUNO EXPO It Must Be My Dream at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) in Tallinn in 2021, where students and teachers began developing the idea for a student-led KUNO biennial.

Since then, the Biennial has travelled through the network, with General Sharing: 19m above the Sea in Turku (2022), Shared Imaginations in Vilnius (2023), and Venture Collective in Trondheim (2025). Each edition is hosted by a different KUNO academy and developed and organised by students, giving each Biennial its own form and focus.
